Why don’t we paint the vehicles?

Why don’t we paint the vehicles?

Why don’t we paint the vehicles?

Why don’t we paint the vehicles and why is there no logo on the trains yet?

Today we would like to explain to you why we do not paint the trains, why we run with the same trains as the previous operators and why the trains in our network are not yet covered with our logo.

The vehicles at the Start Unterelbe as well as at the Start Niedersachsen Mitte do not belong to
start
but to Landesnahverkehrsgesellschaft Niedersachsen GmbH (LNVG), i.e. the state of Lower Saxony. Consequently, everything to do with the design and equipment of these trains also lies with the country. We have rented the trains for the transport contract period of eight years and are therefore allowed to put our logo and some stickers of us on and in the trains.

Perhaps you are now wondering why there are still no logos on RB 37, 38, 77 and 79? In order for the stickers to be applied, both stickers and vehicles must be at the same temperature. The stickers require room temperature in order to be applied in the best possible quality. When you look outside at the currently icy landscape, you can safely how long it takes for a train to reach room temperature – that’s right, several hours. So often the time in the workshop is not enough to warm up the train and carefully apply the stickers. Of course, it is more important to us that we can put the trains back on the track for you as soon as possible, which is why the wrapping with our logos will have to wait a little longer…
