Unhappy in your job and don’t feel like doing a new lengthy training? Then fulfill your childhood dream with us and become a locomotive driver. In our 10-month training program, we make you fit for our trains. So that you know what exactly awaits you, you will get a brief insight here.

The duration of the training is 10 months. It is divided into 6 months of theory and 4 months of practice. In the theory lessons, you’ll learn all the basics of safe railroad operation, as well as everything about the rolling stock and how to independently make small stures on the trains. After the theory phase, you can finally look forward to the practice and drive a train yourself for the first time. You should then implement and further deepen your theoretical knowledge. Of course, you will be accompanied and supervised by your experienced colleagues at all times.

Both the theory block and the practical block are concluded with an examination each. As soon as you have successfully completed both exams, you will be allowed to drive our passengers through Lower Saxony all by yourself.
