Since 12.12.2021 we are the link in the middle of Lower Saxony and operate the well-known routes of the Heidekreuz and the Weser-/Lammetalbahn. We connect the major cities of Bremen, Hamburg, Hanover as well as Hildesheim, Hameln and Löhne with the rural regions in the Lüneburg Heath or also in the Weserbergland. We take you from the countryside to the city along the numerous rivers of Lower Saxony to your destination.
As Start Niedersachsen Mitte, we are part of the Germany-wide operating Regionalverkehre Start Deutschland GmbHwhich was founded in 2016 as a wholly owned subsidiary of DB Regio AG. With our office directly at the train station in Soltau and our branches in Hanover and Hildesheim, we are regionally rooted and directly approachable for you. As of 2021, we employ around 170 people, mainly from the region.
On behalf of Landesnahverkehrsgesellschaft Niedersachsen mbH, the Free Hanseatic City of Bremen, the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg, the Hanover region and Zweckverband Nahverkehr Westfalen-Lippe, we operate the Lower Saxony Central network, which combines the former Heidekreuz and Weser/Lammetalbahn networks.
