Since December 2021, Start Niedersachsen Mitte, which is part of Regionalverkehre Start Deutschland GmbH, start for short, has been operating the existing Heidekreuz and Weser/Lammetalbahn networks. During the first phase of operations, there were increased delays and train cancellations on the line. To ensure that school transport in particular runs stably in the future, start has drawn up a comprehensive package of measures that will be introduced after the Easter vacations.
