The time has finally come – as Start Niedersachsen Mitte, we are putting the second network for the regional transport company Start Deutschland GmbH into operation. We are currently in the final preparations to make the transition as smooth as possible for you and all other passengers.

We will take over the following lines on 12.12.2021:

• RB 37 (Bremen – Soltau – Uelzen)
• RB 38 (Hamburg Harburg – Buchholz i. d. Nordheide – Soltau – Hannover)
• RB 77 (Bünde/Herford – Löhne – Hameln – Hildesheim)
• RB 79 (Hildesheim – Bodenburg)

As is usually the case with a change of timetable and operator, there will be some changes, for example to the timetable or the train layout. However, much also remains unchanged. We have summarized the most important points for you here:

• Vehicles/Trains: We will also be using the LINT vehicles of Landesnahverkehrsgesellschaft Niedersachsen mbH and will take them over for the duration of eight years. For you, only the logo will change, as well as some stickers on and in the train, the monitor displays and the loudspeaker announcements. Starting next summer, WLAN will be available at Heidekreuz (RB37 & RB 38). The WLAN on the Weser/Lammetalbahn (RB 77 & RB 79) will of course remain.
• Timetable: We are pleased to announce that we can offer you some additional trips on the Weserbahn (RB77) in the early morning and late evening hours. There are also additional trips on the RB37 from Bremen to Soltau at 04:51 as well as at 13:42. Otherwise, the timetable remains largely the same. To be on the safe side, please check your train connection in our travel information before you start your journey. www.start-NI-mitte.de, on www.bahn.de, on www.fahrplaner.de, in which FahrPlaner app or the DB Navigator.

• Tickets and tariffs: The current tickets & rates remain in effect. You can get the right ticket at any time from our ticket machines. You will find them at every station along our route. You can also buy your ticket online in our Timetable information, on

  and the apps DB Navigator and FahrPlaner. You will automatically receive the cheapest ticket. Simply enter your departure and destination stations as well as the date and time. Of course, you can also purchase your ticket at our service points. These all remain in place.

• Driving personnel: Our employees get a new look – be curious. Some faces will certainly look familiar to you, because we are very pleased that many employees of the current operators will be present on 12.12. get started with us. Of course, we are also looking forward to our new employees in the network.

• Rules on the train: We also have the following rules: boarding only with a valid ticket, no smoking or alcohol consumption, feet do not belong on the seats, treat everyone with respect and always keep paths and doors clear. Luggage can be stored in the luggage racks. We are happy to take bicycles if you have purchased a bike pass and park and secure your bike in the multipurpose area.

• Corona: The current Corona regulations also apply on our trains. Currently, the 3G obligation applies, as well as the obligation to wear a medical or FFP2 mask (as of 06.12.2021).

• Accessible travel: We really want to make it possible for everyone to travel around Lower Saxony with us on the move. For this reason, we ask you to observe the conditions of carriage for your aid. We also have detailed information for you here listed.
